Just how awesome are you?

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frighten us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the World.

There is nothing enlightening about shrinking

so that other people won’t feel unsure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

As we let our own light shine,

we consciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,

our presence automatically liberates others."

(Poem title - OUR DEEPEST FEAR by Marianne Williamson; quoted in Nelson Mandela’s Inaugural Speech, 1994)

……………

I have just concluded a beyond-awesome program SOAR by the amazing @iambankole Bankole Williams! It was seven days of unearthing our greatest fears and insecurities and basically opening our minds to the wonders and possibilities in God! This poem tells just how I feel.

I had thought this was just mindset coaching when I signed up. But it turned out to be a deeply spiritual retreat, for which my entire destiny is grateful. With teachings on areas including productivity, mind training, creative sleeping, parenting, faith... it was power-packed!

Also, in the past week, in my prayer and mentoring group, TOCI, (@topeolagbegicircle) we’ve been praying about finding our purpose, our gifts etc., using different Scripture. It was so spirit-lifting. And you know what, after SOAR the scriptures take on a new meaning. I am just so thankful this morning.🔥🔥

It’s a new-ish week, whatever happens, I choose peace, love, and joy. And I sincerely wish you the same.

I just said I should show you some of the awesomeness that I picked up today! 😍😍

What about you? How are you stepping into your week after a long weekend?

I’m rooting for you! Go on and do exploits. Remember you’ve got it in you!

Regards,

Brenda Unu
