Holding her close felt like the most natural thing in the world. As they swayed to the music, he could almost feel her melting into him, as if they were meant to be combined into one. He knew time was short though. Soon, he’d have to go back to Garilia, and who knew what would await him there? He was already facing many consequences for all the rules he’d broken already. It was foolish to think he’d get away with it. Even though it felt like time stood still, the song didn’t last nearly long enough.

“Let’s go outside for a moment. Would you like that, Little one?” he asked once the song was over.

Nadine nodded, although he couldn’t tell where her head was at. She seemed keen on going with him, but her expression was still bashful and reluctant. Love happened at first sight for Arthon, but he could tell she’d need more convincing. Being from different worlds wouldn’t stop him from taking care of her forever.

Out in the courtyard, a gazebo with fairy lights, drapery, and foliage stood. Arthon held Nadine’s hand, encouraging her toward it, where they could sit down and talk. Soft music played in a speaker overhead, making it tranquil and enjoyable. They could be totally alone in the courtyard, and Arthon hoped he could give Nadine all of his thoughts.

“This is so beautiful,” she said, her eyes gazing out at her surroundings. “It feels like a dream.”

“Ah, yes. Earth is a beautiful place indeed,” he agreed, his hand squeezing hers. She didn’t pull away, instead she settled into the warmth of his and he could tell she wanted it too.

“I appreciate everything you’ve done for me, but I’m going home in a few days and we won’t ever see each other again. It’s probably best that we go our separate ways after tonight.”

“Why are you talking like that?”

Her head snapped to attention as she turned to him, her green eyes gazing thoughtfully into his.

“Because it’s true, Arthon. If you really are an alien from a distant planet, I don’t see how it would work anyway.”

“How about we make a deal?”

“A deal?” Nadine replied, her head tilting to the side as she raised a single eyebrow.

“Yes, a deal. You give me just one night to be your Daddy, and I promise you won’t regret it,” he said. He spoke with such intensity, he hoped his dominance would rattle through her bones.
