Hi
As process engineers, we are responsible to ensure that the plant is hydraulically stable. This includes lots of activities:
- Line Sizing of all piping in the plant based on heat and material balance streams
- Estimation of Pump Hydraulic Requirements such as pump NPSH, differential head,...etc.
- Ensuring a stable operation of a compressor and protection against instabilities such as surge and stonewall in addition to checking the operating curve of a compressor.
- Control valve hydraulics, characteristics and sizing criteria.
In the free course "Introduction to Process Design Engineering Activities", we have gone through these different topics. You can check them out by clicking on the below button:
P.S. For even more detailed courses on pipe sizing, pump hydraulics, compressor operation, and control valve hydraulics, you can check out our courses at courses.boostrand.com. They are now at a valuable discount. When checking out, use the coupon code: JUL2023 (letters all in caps) to redeem the discount.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or comments. I'm here to assist you on your journey toward mastering process engineering.
