Hi
Within the previous month, I have been working on the "Process Engineering Masterclass" course. I've added several new modules to enhance your learning experience and cover crucial aspects of process engineering. Each of these modules is even equipped with a real world example of how this activitiy/document is carried out.
Below are the activities that were added in the new update. You can click on each of them as below:
- Utility and Effluent Consumption: Analyze the required utilities for processes, such as cooling water, steam, fuel gas, and instrument air. Explore the impact of this analysis on your process design.
- Depressurization / Blowdown Calculation: Learn how to assess the requirements for depressuring the plant in case of a fire scenario. Understand the effects on the flare system and material of construction.
- Relief System Analysis: Dive into flare network design, choosing the proper sizes of flare headers and subheaders based on match number, backpressure, and noise. Gain hands-on experience using Aspen Flare Analyzer.
- Design Conditions: Master the critical activity of calculating design pressure and temperature. Understand common design condition criteria and learn through practical examples.
- Cause and Effect: Discover the key document for listing shutdown system logic and adding safety interlocks to protect the plant. Learn how to add shutdown actions in a cause-and-effect document.
- Line Designation Table: Learn how to add data for each pipe in a line list, an essential skill for process engineers.
- Instrument Data: Understand how to add data for each instrument in an instrument datasheet, which is a crucial responsibility for process engineers.
I hope you shall enjoy the new update. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to support you on your journey to becoming a top-notch process engineer.
Regards,
Mohamad
