In every engineering project, unexpected challenges arise that require creative problem-solving. Here is an interesting case where procuring a centrifugal pump led to an overpressure risk for a critical heat exchanger.
The engineering team had to quickly evaluate various solutions - adding protection layers, installing a pressure relief valve, and even replacing the pump or exchanger. But in the end, the most cost-effective route was to upgrade the exchanger itself to handle the higher pressure.
