Hey, friends.

It’s somehow almost August, and I'm not really sure where June and July went. But I'm leaning into the summer vibes, listening to folklore on repeat, and writing my life away (when my kids let me 👀).

What’s more important than that is what I have to share with you this week. I've joined with authors and service providers in a bookish raffle to benefit Kerr County in Texas after the devastation of the flash floods there. Keep reading to see how you can enter.

Bookish raffle

Organized by author D.W. Cole, there's currently a bookish raffle going on to benefit Kerr County, Texas. I've donated a signed copy & swag of Friends Like This and The Perfect Love. But there are so many other amazing authors participating as well, and there's also bookish merch, event tickets, and more!

Here's how it works: find an item you're interested in and buy as many raffle tickets as you’d like for that item ($5 each). When the raffle is finished, winners will be chosen, and if you win you’ll be notified! All the money raised from this is going directly to charity.

There's nothing like a Baker Girls group text...

One of my favorite things about writing friend groups is the banter between friends, and there’s no better place for some banter than a group text.

Jade: Just a reminder that I’m an author and anything you say may be used in a future book.

Justin: But make it angstier!

Hallie: You two are nauseating.

Mark: I feel like you all need your own text group. I don’t need my phone blowing up in my locker all practice.

Hardy: Speak for yourself, Markie Mark. I need the TEA.
