Happy October! 🍁

It's my favorite month! Is that maybe because it's my birthday month? Possible. But the leaves! The pumpkins. The sweater weather. Halloween. I'm here for all of it. It's also been busy, so I'm flying by the seat of my pants, but I have a few fun things to share with you... including your October freebie!

When I first wrote this story, it was a fun novella prequel to Faking It for the Holidays. Then I decided that universe needed to be a whole ass series, and since it was chronologically the first book, it became the first book of the series. After thinking about it for a bit, I realized it needed a little extra love to make it a stronger series opener. I'm excited to tease a bit more about it now. The new version will be available by the end of the month, and of course I'll let you know as soon as it goes live!

I'm super excited to reveal new paperback covers for the Ida Romance series! The ebook covers changed over the summer, but over the next month, I'll be rolling out the new paperback covers as well!

If you love those collage covers... so do I! Which is why they'll be shifting to HARDCOVER! I'm so excited to offer hardcovers for this series. Again, they'll be rolling out slowly over the next few months. And if you still want paperback versions of the collage covers, they'll still be available in the US via my personal store!

“Why did you agree to this? To fake dating?”

He stares at me for a moment, his jaw set. But then his expression softens and vulnerability fills his eyes. He looks past me, staring at the wall beyond me.

“I had given up hope that I’d ever find a real, deep, committed relationship. Though I’m more optimistic now, I know that’s no guarantee I’ll ever get it. I figured doing this at least allows me to experience it once, even if it’s not exactly real.”

That… guts me. The desperation in his eyes. How badly he wants to be loved. He should be loved. Maybe I can’t promise him that—not now, like this—but he deserves everything I can give him.

My sudden movement draws his attention back to me, his brow furrowing in confusion, but there are no words in any language that could stop me from doing this.

He needs to know what it means to be wanted. Desired. For someone to ache for him so badly they can’t breathe. Because I can’t. I can’t breathe when I’m with him. He’s everything I want, and I don’t know how to have it. How to cross these lines. If I should.

Which is why I stop thinking and just do.

His face is a mask of surprise as I climb onto his lap and take his face in my hands. “If this is all you get, then you should experience everything.”
