Happy fall! 🍂

I hope y’all are having a great September so far. Normally I have some quippy little intro, but friends, I am sick (ah, back to school) and tired, so today we’re jumping right into all the things.

🐓I stare at the muscles of his back, then my gaze drops lower, to the band of his boxers and the skin exposed above them.

“Should I take my shirt off so you can really enjoy the view?”

My gaze snaps to his. He’s grinning at me over his shoulder.

I don’t bother trying to hide that I was staring at him.

I flick the TV off as I stand up, eyes still locked on him. He spins to face me and I shrug, tugging at his white tee.

“Well, I am your boyfriend now. I deserve to get some perks out of this.”

He meets me with a literal smolder. A look so hot it could turn me to ash.

Then slowly, he pulls his shirt over his head, letting me get a glimpse of his ripped chest and abs.

I’m shameless as I trail my gaze down his body, and he smirks as he watches me. Then he scoops up Pigeon and heads down the hall.

“Night, boyfriend,” he calls.

I can’t hide the smile on my face.

I know it’s not real.

We’re friends pretending to date.

But we’re also friends who are tiptoeing to the edge of being something more.

I’ve seen enough movies and read enough books to know what happens when you fake a relationship. Especially with a friend.

Fake dating is a great way to catch real feelings.

With how close we already are to that line, I guess we’ll see what happens next.🐓
