Why was I so foolish?

In my early 20's I decided to go swimming for 30 minutes every single morning with no prior experience and no fintess at all.

'This will get me in shape' - I thought.

After only 5 minutes of swimming the very first day, I was out of breath, my body was aching and I nearly drowned in the pool.

I never went back to swim again.

Why was I so foolish?

I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to act as if I was an athlete.

Now that the weather is getting better (in the part of the world where I live, anyway), you may be thinking of getting on your bike (again) and ride it to work.

But just how far can you ride your bike if you want to bike commute? What'a reasonable distance?

5-10 miles each way should be feasible for most adults of average fitness, but there are a few things to keep in mind.

I share some of the questions you should ask yourself before you jump into bike commuting in this video.

Pedal on,
