Your Legs Will Thank Me For This - And The Experts

Does it really matter how much you raise your saddle?

According to some experts, getting the saddle height wrong can lead to:

  • short term discomfort and
  • long term consequences.

I did a little experiment a few days ago.

Nothing fancy or scientific, but quite revealing.

I wanted to find out two things:

  • Does it matter if you're sitting too low or too high on your bike?
  • How to get the saddle in the position that it feels just right?

I followed a simple method:

Step 1. Overload the bike to make it harder to pedal

Step 2. Get the saddle height wrong on purpose

Step 3: Ride for a while and observe what happens

Step 3. Report back to you.

Watch my experiment here on YouTube. Your knee might just thank me for it.

Pedal on,

Sam
