Finally made some real (edible) Donuts! Inspired by @donutteshoppe flavors of course š© #ilovetocreate #donutsofinstagram
š±Minty Pea Gnocchi with sweet peas, snap peas, tendrils and seared bay scallops, romano cheese in a vin blanc sauce made for a catering client last week. Iāve been trying to bring this dish to reality for a couple of years, but I always forgot when spring came along! š± Even happier that I could grow a few things on the plate too š„° Gnocchi is my favorite pasta to make, as itās easy to come together, welcoming to many flavors and not to mention the pillowy goodness š #lovetocreate #foodismylovelanguage #imback
This has been of the most roller coaster periods of my life, and I know most of you can relate. The ups have been tremendous and the lows have been astonishing to say the least. Over the past several weeks, God has stretched me beyond my wildest dreams through my business(es) friendships and my family life. I've simultaneously been suffering in silence. I've been in so much pain over the past year and a half. Over the holidays I juggled working for my business daily family life and spending time with family but the pain came to such a point where I could no longer push through and ignore going on what is going on with my body. Last week I was forced to stop in my tracks and go to urgent care. Though I have since gotten help and started to receive answers from the doctors, I had to take much-needed rest, and take a step back to reevaluate was really important. Understanding has come that my mission to live holistically is not just about products or businesses or gifting or even helping others but itās also about thriving as an individual. My creations are a reflection of me, and therefore they shift when I do. I'm in the process of learning how to truly put all the knowledge of healing with my gifts of creativity, so I can live whole. To be honest, it feels like an uphill battle. As I write this I am in pain. However Iām tired of where Iāve been, and am going to hold on to hope until the next win comes. Thank you for allowing me a corner of the interwebs, so I can share my journey. Itās my prayer that it will bless someone along the way.
So funny story, I broke my tiny corner of the internet with these little donuts. š©A few weeks ago, I was having a down day, and decided to create to help ease my mind and have some fun. When I got done, God urged me to go ahead and post it on Facebook. Everyone thought it was just another š© delicious looking dessert, but theyāre actually all-natural bath bombs, glazed in soap and decorated. I honestly didnāt think they looked real. To my surprise, my tribe went crazy with the switch up. My family insisted that I post them for sale and helped me put together a store page in less than 24 hours. 24 hours from then, I was sold out of my first batches of Donutte bombes! Talk about SHOOK! š± Thereās a little more to this story and Iāll share later. Sometimes one idea and a little support is all you need to get started with your creative ideas. In the meantime you can keep up with The Donutte Shoppe here šš¾@donutteshoppe

Special thank you to everyone who came to last weeks bread class! We laughed, talked dough, kids and had fun. I even attempted a cinnamon raisin bread, which needs way more filling š . Due to the holidays Iāve been a bit slow to get the replay up, but it will be available soon! Iām thinking no-knead bread for the next class. What do you think?
Hey all, It has been a DAY, but I digress. Itās godly warm in Chicago for November, so so I pulled this video out of the archives from earlier this year. Showing you how to make easy cold brew coffee with less than 8 minutes of prep. I love cold brew, not only because of its distictively smooth flavor profile, but because you can make it even if you donāt own a coffee maker! Iām dedicating this video to my sis @jaibrittni she knows why āļø General recipe is as follows: Ingredients 28 grams or 4 rounded tbsp Ground Coffee, medium grind preferably 24 fl oz filtered water 1. Combine coffee and water in a French press or lidded vessel 2. Cover coffee (plunger up if using press) and place in the refrigerator for 8 hours, up to overnight. 3. To serve: if using French press push plunger down or strain through a fine mesh strainer into serving container. Serve immediately as is or with sweet cream, flavored syrup of choice. Customize this recipe to include lots of fun flavors, like adding a cinnamon stick or pinch of nutmeg to your coffee grinds before adding water, or a few spoonfuls of caramel after you strain your finished brew. This type of coffee can be made in advance and kept under refrigeration for up to 5 days. Perfect for meal prep! Try it out and let me know how you love it āļø #beyondafoodieĀ #coffeeshopĀ #coffeebarĀ #coffeemakerĀ #coffee_timeĀ #coffeetimeāĀ #frenchpressĀ #pourovercoffeeĀ #pouroverĀ #baristagramĀ #coffeeloverĀ #coffeeaddictĀ #coffeepeopleĀ #coffeeroastingĀ #frenchpresscoffeeĀ #indiecoffeeĀ #foodysĀ #foodanddrink #coldbrew #coldbrewcoffee #coldbrewlover
