Instagram LogoThis has been of the most roller coaster periods of my life, and I know most of you can relate. The ups have been tremendous and the lows have been astonishing to say the least. Over the past several weeks, God has stretched me beyond my wildest dreams through my business(es) friendships and my family life. I've simultaneously been suffering in silence. I've been in so much pain over the past year and a half. Over the holidays I juggled working for my business daily family life and spending time with family but the pain came to such a point where I could no longer push through and ignore going on what is going on with my body. Last week I was forced to stop in my tracks and go to urgent care. Though I have since gotten help and started to receive answers from the doctors, I had to take much-needed rest, and take a step back to reevaluate was really important. Understanding has come that my mission to live holistically is not just about products or businesses or gifting or even helping others but it’s also about thriving as an individual. My creations are a reflection of me, and therefore they shift when I do. I'm in the process of learning how to truly put all the knowledge of healing with my gifts of creativity, so I can live whole. To be honest, it feels like an uphill battle. As I write this I am in pain. However I’m tired of where I’ve been, and am going to hold on to hope until the next win comes. Thank you for allowing me a corner of the interwebs, so I can share my journey. It’s my prayer that it will bless someone along the way.
Instagram LogoHey all, It has been a DAY, but I digress. It’s godly warm in Chicago for November, so so I pulled this video out of the archives from earlier this year. Showing you how to make easy cold brew coffee with less than 8 minutes of prep. I love cold brew, not only because of its distictively smooth flavor profile, but because you can make it even if you don’t own a coffee maker! I’m dedicating this video to my sis @jaibrittni she knows why ā˜•ļø General recipe is as follows: Ingredients 28 grams or 4 rounded tbsp Ground Coffee, medium grind preferably 24 fl oz filtered water 1. Combine coffee and water in a French press or lidded vessel 2. Cover coffee (plunger up if using press) and place in the refrigerator for 8 hours, up to overnight. 3. To serve: if using French press push plunger down or strain through a fine mesh strainer into serving container. Serve immediately as is or with sweet cream, flavored syrup of choice. Customize this recipe to include lots of fun flavors, like adding a cinnamon stick or pinch of nutmeg to your coffee grinds before adding water, or a few spoonfuls of caramel after you strain your finished brew. This type of coffee can be made in advance and kept under refrigeration for up to 5 days. Perfect for meal prep! Try it out and let me know how you love it ā˜•ļø #beyondafoodieĀ #coffeeshopĀ #coffeebarĀ #coffeemakerĀ #coffee_timeĀ #coffeetimeā˜•Ā #frenchpressĀ #pourovercoffeeĀ #pouroverĀ #baristagramĀ #coffeeloverĀ #coffeeaddictĀ #coffeepeopleĀ #coffeeroastingĀ #frenchpresscoffeeĀ #indiecoffeeĀ #foodysĀ #foodanddrink #coldbrew #coldbrewcoffee #coldbrewlover
