👀 new video and blog post.

Hey ,

Hope you're doing well? It's been a couple of months since I've been able to create anything for you, but last night I wrapped up two things!

image

The first is a new short tutorial on how to manipulate filepaths with TCL -- this is something I often get asked how to do.

The tutorial shows how to isolate a shot's name from a Read node's file knob, and uses the value as an automatically-updating Random Seed value. This kind of workflow is handy when you're creating templates for your team!

The second item is a brief blog post with code examples on how you can dynamically add/remove knobs on a gizmos UI, which you can read here.

This is a little trickier to set up, but has performance advantages over dynamically hiding/showing knobs via the KnobChanged callback.

Have you created, or come across any interesting Nuke tidbits recently? Please reply and let me know -- I'd love to hear about it.

Cheers,

Ben
