Dear reader,
When life gets you down, what do you do? When it's a million degrees outside, and politics resemble the fall of the Roman republic, and that bloody thistle keeps growing back in the crack in your driveway no matter how many times you yank the dang thing out, how do you cope?
Well, you read, of course.
I have always been astounded by the immersive capacity of a good book. Nothing else is quite like it. A good book doesn't just make me forget the world for a while, it rewires my brain. It takes me through vicarious adventures so visceral they feel like memory. A good book brings hope. It makes sense of chaos. It puts tough times back into perspective.
So, in the midst of this particularly tough chapter of history, it's my hope you've packed a printed pal or two to see you through.

In other news, I'm working on my final pass through book four: Waning Haven. Alpha readers have all gotten back to me with deeply flattering praise. I'm really proud of this one, and I think you'll like it too.
Also, to all my Idaho friends, I've been speaking with The Cabin recently, and it looks like I'll probably be teaching another writing course this fall. So stay tuned for more updates!
