It’s been a hot minute since I was able to send out a newsletter and a few things have happened since then. First and foremost, as the pandemic continues and schools reopen for Fall - I hope you and your family are safe. This summer has been chaotic for me: wedding, honeymoon, and grad school...in a pandemic. Oof!

As we close out summer and enter into Fall - I have some announcements: 

I have a new spicy contemporary romance pen name! CJ Cartwright is launching on September 10 with Malicious Compliance. This is a complete novella that is part of the Men of the C-Suite collection. It also serves as a prequel to my upcoming Astoria Bay Thunder hockey romance series. Don’t forget to read the Author’s Note at the end to get exclusive access to a steamy bonus scene!

Birds of a Feather…. Y’all. This book is giving me hives. As previously reported, I had to delay my pre-order already and I am SO bummed to announce I have to cancel it entirely.  

This book is not coming together for me. I am not done with Matestone Guardians by a long shot, but I have learned the hard way not to force the story if it’s not cooperating. If you preordered it on Amazon, you’ll get a notice in the next day or so that says the preorder has been cancelled. I’m so sorry to disappoint my readers and I humbly hope you’ll stick with me and see what else is coming. Serenity, Moray and company WILL get their book… when my Muse cooperates.

SEPTEMBER IS CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

This is not book related but it is personal this month. For the last 10 months I have watched a friend of mine go through her own personal version of hell. Her son went to the hospital for back pain and came out with a diagnosis of aggressive Ewing’s sarcoma. Ewing’s is a very rare (and often aggressive) form of bone cancer. Approximately 200 children and young adults are diagnosed in the U.S. annually. Shockingly, only 4% of total federal funding for cancer research goes to researching childhood cancer here as well.

I am sharing the below image on my social media this month to raise awareness for #MoreThan4 and to also publicly declare membership in #RoycesArmy and I invite you all to do so as well. Please use the hashtag - Royce and his family are following it so they can see that support from strangers.
