A gift for your Muslim friends

Hi
It's Eid next week!
As you know, for Muslims, Eid is the celebration at the end of a holy month of fasting. The month is a moon-month, so Eid will begin on either Thursday or Friday next week.
We have lots of Muslim families and staff at the Birmingham hospital where I work as a chaplain, so the prayer room has been super busy this month, as have I, distributing Ramadan and Eid resources to all the wards - I must have walked a few miles delivering them!
What was really exciting was the response from the staff on each ward when I showed them the new Eid Bunting I created this year. Each A4 card has three flags on it, designed with minimal cutting, and the flag is the width of your hole punch for each hole punching.
More importantly, each card offers a way for people to co-create and contribute to the Eid decorations, which we know helps meet their spiritual need for meaning and purpose. AND one of the cards has a space to draw or write things which are important to you, helping them focus on their connections with people and places in their life. (A simple way to define Spiritual Care is helping people with connection and meaning.)
I thought these might be useful to other people, so I've made a download version you can access here
Something to get in the post...
If you'd like something already printed for you, I also have a gorgeous Eid colouring cards, also a spiritual care activity, where participants write four things which bring them joy, assign each a colour then use those colours to colour the front of the cards. It's a really simple way to focus on gratitude for what is good, even if life is a struggle.
These cards are printed on really good quality card (we need them to be able to use them at the bedside with nothing to lean on) and are available here.
You could perhaps send one to a friend (we can post it directly to them if you'd like) or you can get some to give to families you know or work with.
I've added options for individual cards or packs of different sizes, so hopefully you'll be able to find something which works for you.
That's for this week.
I hope you've been able to get out and enjoy some of the amazing blossom
Have a fab weekend
Victoria
