Hello!
Welcome back! THe new season has arrived and we're so excited to share with you the concerts we have coming up.
The first concert of the season by the Bedfordshire Symphony Orchestra is just around the corner and rehearsals are well under way.
The first piece is Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, also known as Night on the Bare Mountain, and it is perfect for the season as we come into Halloween and winter.
It tells the story of witches dancing on a barren "bald" mountain before the sun rises at the end on the witches' sabbath. The first section is frantic portraying the witches' chatter as they gather on the mountain. It's fast, furious and honestly, it's a little bit creepy...

PPS Here's a sneaky peak at BSO rehearsing a couple of weeks ago... our numbers have increased hugely these last few months. Luckily we can still just about fit into our beautiful rehearsal space at Bedford Greenacre Independent School!
