Hi,
Hope your summer is going well. Truth be told, summer is my least favorite holiday. Ever since I came back from Puerto Rico, I've been counting down to hoodie season.
Anyway, I wanted to bring to your attention a recent study done by the National Alliance on Caregiving in collaboration with AARP. In the study 63 million Americans are currently caregiving. One in four adults are providing care for someone with a chronic or disability condition.
The biggest thing that caught my eye in the study is 1/3 of all caregivers care for both an adult with disabilities or complex medical conditions and a child under 18 aka The Sandwich Generation. I am part of that 1/3 like many of you or you might know someone in this demographic. The study adds African-Americans and Latinos care more often sandwich generation caregivers.
The economy is all over the place. Inflation is still causing havoc. Caregiving is hard.
Let me know your thoughts on the study. I would love to know.
