Write or Freak Out

I'm freaking, really.
So the first two chapters have been rewritten and personally it is much better than it was. But it does mean I have LOTS of edits to do and rethinking all my pivot points in the story. It is a bit overwhelming and is slowing me down. But I think it is going to be a MUCH better story in the long run.
That leaves me with writing and life. Mom isn't better, so I have some hard choices ahead, but I'm hoping they might be the right ones. I think in the next few weeks I'll have some news about new ways to see and interact with me as well as other forms of interaction. Maybe. We will see what life says.
Otherwise I'll be in Colorado Springs next week and then a business meeting, then maybe life will settle down and I will have some focused writing time. I tell you I need to find a local coffee shop or pub I can hide into write uninterrupted.
It is coming though. I even sold another short story to New Mythology press so that should be out soon too. Stories don't stop, neither does life. But until that time enjoy this short.
Until The End
"I can not live without you," she whispered. Her body draped in red pressed against him.
"You will not need to, la mia fonte di vita," he murmured. "You will be with me until the end."
Joy spread across her face as they danced. The candles sparkled and the murmur of the other diners faded as he treated her like a goddess. The food, which he paid no attention to, the wine, he only sipped, the beautiful people, he was the most handsome, and the atmosphere, the reason they were here, spoke of love and eternal worship.
Pleasure and wine made her sparkle as they danced and laughed. He catered to her every whim, kissed her shoulders and lips, looked at no one else until the clock chimed midnight and the last waltz was played.
"Come, il mio piccolo regalo, it is time to go home."
Her blue eyes sparkled as he escorted her to his exclusive penthouse overlooking Milan. It was warm and welcoming and she sighed in pleasure as he offered her champagne. The culmination of all her daydreams.
Her joy and love hit higher than she had known possible as he seduced her willing body into bed and exposed her to pleasure she'd never known. When needle sharp teeth slid into her jugular she only moaned, arching into it. As he drained her blood his skin flushed and strength grew.
"Until the end, as I promised." He whispered as her heart stopped and his beat once.
I'm writing and juggling. I'll let you know when anything new appears. Have a great week and remember - talking about my books is the best reward you can give.
