So many choices

How do I write them all?
I'm trying to get the epic fantasy up and going, but I want to write everything all at once. Instead I'm trying to focus on what I need to write, and not get nervous about the finale of Twisted Luck. Mostly I'm nervous. And I need to get busy at the same time.
I was at Multiverse (a small con in Atlanta) and it's left me ready to step up, if only I can get a nap in. We'll see. So very much to do and worlds to design.
Right now I'm just freaking out over Balanced Luck.
And the popularity of the Color Knight from last newsletter has me trying to figure out that story. So I might jump that up in the pile.
If you are interested int he Kaylid Chronicles, you can get all of them for the low price of $24.99, over 500k worth of story.
Book Recommendations!
Looking for a space western, with an arrogant gunslinger, a buried treasure, and a mafia boss that is a bit pissed off? Check out The Adventures of Dani Botswana. It's available for free!
Or, if you like a little bit of LITRPG in your stories, try Spirit of the Dragon. Twins caught in a struggle to rescue a woman, get assigned to an academy, and the game might destroy everyone if they don't figure out how to stop a mad sorcerer. It's free on Amazon.
Weekly Micro Story
Red Rider
"Are you ready?" The words come at me fast and hard, from so many people. Everyone wanting to know if I was ready. Each time I nodded, not trusting my voice. If I spoke all the questions, demands, fears, would spill out unfettered.
I lock my thoughts, my emotions into a chained trunk, never to see the light of day. There is no reason to indulge them, no time. The mask is handed to me, and I pull it over my head, the sounds around me now muffled and indistinct. Part of me sighs in relief, the rest just tenses up more.
The horse my life is tied to is led to me, its mask already on. The red tabard draped over it matches my mask and cloak. Hands hoist me to the back and I cling on awkwardly, riding wasn't something I'd done often. A rifle, with ribbons to match me and the horse, is shoved into my hands and I clutch it. We are lead to the city gates, the mobs of people around us a low roar through the mask.
My heart beats so fast and I lean into it, knowing it will soon quit. The crowd quiets as the gate is pulled back. My mask acts like blinders and all I can see is the road ahead and the monsters on every side.
The horse jumps, then takes off running out the gate and down the road.
This is it.
I wave the gun around, it has no ammo, screaming at the top of my lungs. The creatures turn and follow me, their hunger physical in the weight of their eyes.
My job, to lead them away so the reinforcements can get in. To feed their hunger. To save my family.
To die.

Eh. This one didn't really work and I'm not sure why. I kind of want to redo it, but not sure where to go.
Balanced Luck in 12 days. Oh I hope you feel I did Cori right.
