New Stories and Ways to Interact

I've been busy.

Which means I have news for you. First and foremost Drafted Luck is DONE!!! I gave it to my betas last weekend. I'm hoping to have it back next week and then get it to the editor. But that does mean a new book maybe late August or Early September.

And I put Joined up for sale on Amazon. Joined is the wedding of Jo and Sable, and of course Cori gets dragged into it. It is a sweet story with sappiness and just a feel good story. There is a tiny bit of plot that affects the series, but it is easily mentioned in the first chapter of Drafted Luck.

The next thing this week is I created a Fan Group for Twisted Luck. So if you are on Facebook check it out here. I'll be focusing on it more as I go forward, but I'll put out world building aspects there as well as snippets and things I cut out.

Otherwise, I have tomatoes and peppers coming in faster than I can process them, but the bugs have gotten to all my squash. I am not happy - but I have lots of salsa so that that helps. I could eat chips and salsa for a lot of meals. Yum.

That covers it for me this week, I have some cool books to share with you, and then a story. Next week I'm hoping to start on Faded Luck and Blood War: Alliances

If you like a little heaven and hell with your urban fantasy, this one is a treat. Immortals, demons, talking cats (yes I have a weakness) and the hell that is LA this is a kick. And it is on pre-order now for only .99. Grab it while you can.

Dreams of the Dead will grab you and not let go.

I love sci-fi, and someday I'll get back to writing it. But for now check out this odd free story - The Neighbor You Don't Know. What happens when we have a planet that is our neighbor? What secrets does it harbor? Do you really want to know?

Here is your microstory for the week. I'm going to start packing for Dragoncon!

Landings

Michel nailed the landing, wings spread perfectly to help keep balance.

"Again," sighed Shelia, annoyance and boredom clear in her voice.

"What? I did it perfectly!" Michel protested. Everything had been exactly as the book said, knees bent and wings spread.

Shelia stared at Michel, her wings tightly folded. "Your feet are rotated inwards. You didn't look up and meet my eyes, and you aren't smiling."

He stared down at his feet and they were tilted inwards, not much, but a bit. "So? My feet don't matter."

"Walk towards me," Shelia snapped and Michel responded automatically. Shelia didn't tolerate any misconduct. And tripped over his own feet. Wings pumping, he managed to not fall, but he could feel the heat flushing up his face. "I assume my point has been clearly demonstrated?" Her voice flayed away what little pride he had left.

"Yes, Archangel."

"Then do it again," she snapped, turning to correct the sword form on another angel.

Michel didn't let himself sigh, she would have heard and he'd be flying laps for a century. With a beat of his wings he sprang up into the air to practice his landings. From up here he could see the preparations for war. They'd been preparing for his lifetime.

For a crystal moment, Michel hung in the vault of the heavens and looked at the endless war prep beneath him and the truth of their folly seared his mind, then it was gone and he plunged down to practice his landing.

I hope you liked! I have so much to do this week and not enough time and energy.
