So much going on!

Home, rested, and still books in tubs.

I know it should be all unpacked by now and trust me, I feel my tubs judging me. But I need to figure out where to store stuff, I have too many books. Partially that is me needing to organize my office better, and partially me saying buy books! I do have the entire Cori at Large series in hardback available now. So check that out?

Otherwise I am finally writing again!!! Like I've done more this week than I did in ALL of July and August put together. It is still like pulling teeth, but at this rate book 2 might get done by the end of October. Right now it is at 57k, so about another 43k to go and if I keep up with 2k a day that is very doable. Woot! Editing is still going slow but it is going. Blood War: Alliances is back to Doug and he is fixing it, and I'm editing the new book he gave me. This one is hilarious and I think you'll enjoy it, but more when it get closer to being launched

Otherwise I'm reading a lot, and hiding inside. 91+ degrees in September is just mean. I'm ready for fall! I want hot drinks and sweaters. Sigh. I know fall girl I am. Also once a good freeze hits I can get to work on the outside again. I have plans and thoughts. We shall see how far I get.

Book Recommendations!

Yet another thing I've been slacking on. I've been such a hermit I don't even know what my friends have going on. So for now, go reread my past microstories and tell me which ones you want a full novel or novella from.

Weekly Micro Story

Crimson

Crimson had always been her color, from her hair to the blood that ran down her arms. Not her blood of course. The garden in the space station echoed with silence, though she felt eyes from every corner, mechanical and biological. The remains of her bounty lay behind her as she walked off the grass to the path. A security bot rushed toward her. Crimson kept her sword drawn-she hadn't cleaned it yet-but pointed at the floor.

It slowed as it approached, before it could start its spiel Crimson spoke first. "Bounty executed. Silas Rothbelt convicted of tampering with air supply for Mining Station 243-C1." Her fingers flicked up projecting the bounty showing the dead man, the date of conviction, and the reward. The pressure of the eyes watching her changed and their weight dropped on the man. Messing with gravity, air, or power on any station carried a death sentence-sympathy was non-existent.

The bot was obviously being piloted as it rolled over and compared the DNA sequencing with the one on the bounty.

"Bounty verified, marked complete, reward will be deposited. But I gotta ask, what's a Color Knight doing collecting bounties?"

Crimson's entire body went still for a heartbeat, the area filled with an expectant silence as if the station had decided to listen to the answer.

Pulling out a microfiber cloth, Crimson wiped down her sword, the substitute that was flawed and awkward compared to her real sword, and sheathed it before looking back at the waiting bot, its camera focused on her.

"Because my knighthood was forfeited for behavior unbecoming. And I don't regret a single thing I did." The last words came out as a growl, before she stalked away. She had another bounty to find. And a quest to fulfill.

 ~*~

Yes it is another color knight story. I need to decide if they are all women or if the two of them just happened to be. But there used to be 64 - 4 colors were erased from the halls for what they did. I just don't know what that is yet.
