Editing Whirlpool of Doom!

I have not drowned yet!
Lady is in the hands of the beta's and the first responses have been "Yes, please. May I have some more?" Which given it is set in Victorian London, is making me feel better. I'm working on the last scenes and tying everything together, but over all, not bad. Once I am done with those and they are at the editors, I'll finish up the epic fantasy. That is only about two weeks of writing, so that should be done by the end of November. If that is the case, I'll be able to spend all of December getting launches ready, dealing with organizing my life and planning for Africa.
Yes, I'm going to Africa in 2025. It is why there won't be any conventions for me as I'm going to spend most of 2025 writing my tail off, so you will have all the stories and trust me, I have SO MANY stories I want to tell. I just need to clear off my plates so I can get to them.
I still don't have the kickstarter going, dragging my feet a bit, but it is on my list. I've been heads down editing until I think my brains might trickle out of my ears, but it is getting done. Otherwise, I'm doing TikTok videos and trying to get things done. If you want to spread the news about my books or my newsletter that would be great. Weekly Micro Story
Run
Silv walked across the nanograss lawn, headed to his college class. It was one of the few where you had to show up for, as they didn't approve of students doing nano experiments in their apartments. But he didn't mind. It was nice to get outside and feel the perfectly generated air on his face. He was sure his apartment generator was going on the fritz as it had tasted stale lately. On the way back he would stop at maintenance as ask the droid there to repair or replace it.
A crackle of light at the edge of his vision grabbed his attention. Silv looked up to see the trans hub racing across the edge of the dome. It would duck down under the planet's surface, then pop back up in the other dome to let people off. So where had the light come from?
He watched for another minute about to continue his path when he saw it agian. It cracked across the top of the dome, like frost traveling across glass. But the domes were unbreakable, resistant to impact, and, most importantly, kept the air inside. Another crack, then another. A sudden breeze flowed across his face and his brain kicked into gear.
The dome was breaking.
Silv took off at a dead run for the campus. His best time in the mile run had been five minutes. The nearest shelter, all domes had multiples just in case, was a mile and a half away. He moved as the breeze got stronger. Others had stepped outside looking around. He didn't waste any breath to warn them, he was using all he had to run. Most of them put it together like he did and soon there was a stream of people racing for the shelters.
A crack, that he felt as much as heard and saw, sliced through the dome and pieces of it started to fall.
The shelter was in sight. Every bit of energy he had went toward reaching the doors that were slowly sliding shut, people streaming in between. Breath gasping, legs pumping, he hit the doors just as they slid shut.
It was over. He stood there panting and looked up.
