Hi! Not much is going on in my tiny corner of the world—filled by seven cats, a husky, and a husband. Every day, however, I read articles in Google News and freak out for a while over the growing wave of anti-LGBTQ sentiment that seems to be sweeping through the U.S. right now. I’m *cough, cough* older, and I haven’t seen anything like this in decades. It’s frightening. Haters are using the same tropes and wearing the same sheepskins they wore years ago. It’s surreal.
Hopefully, things are better where you live. These are the times I like to escape—either by reading, writing, or drawing. How do you like to escape when things get hairy? (Please say reading is one of them. Ha!)
Something fun to do is play with the new AI out there. Have you used ChatGPT? I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed by my experience with it. I have enjoyed playing with DALL-E, which creates images from text. Basically, you type in what you would like to see, and the AI spits out several images for you. There’s usually something just a little off about the images—like a smeared paw on a cat or face on a human. I described Jericho and Lola from my upcoming novella, Every Day Without You, and this was one of the images it gave me.
It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty good—and much better than the other ones it created! In one, the dog was super scary. I really like the dog in this pic, though.
Easter has passed, but it’s not too late to fill your (imaginary, work with me—I’m trying) basket with a bunch of queer romance books! They’re all available in Kindle Unlimited.
A Little Sin was my contribution to the collection. I have a deleted steamy scene from it that I might share in the next newsletter.
I hope this finds you happy, well, and taking care of yourself. You matter, and you make this crazy world a better place!
Always love,
Sionnach
