I hope you have all had a great Christmas break. This new year is bringing some exciting things in the world of Kylie Kent. I have Italian and German Translations coming your way for the McKinley Ranch Duet. As well as a heap of new releases planned.

When reflecting on 2021 I have so much to be grateful for. And you guys, you readers that continue to stick with me and devour what I put out into the universe are at the top of my list.

I started the year off with a move across to the other side of the country, which in Australia is a bloody long ass way!!

I started a new day job at a new school (which I love almost as much as writing). For those of you that don’t know, during the day I’m a special education teacher, at night – a dirty filthy smutty writer dreaming up happily ever afters for you all.

I have been blessed to have made some amazing new friends in this little isolated city I now call home.

I finished my Master Degree (Finally!!)

I wrote 7 books in 2021, and Published 6!!!

I’ve hit #1 best seller lists on amazon

I have 2027 ratings on Goodreads with an average rating of 4.5 stars! That is freaking amazing.

I have no idea how on earth I managed that while working full time and studying uni part time. But the loss hours of sleep was worth it! Because these stories are freaking amazing (If I do say so myself).

I have been extremely blessed to have found my team of people that have make this happen, I could not have accomplished everything I have this year without these people! @katpagan my editor who never complains about my tight deadlines (well at least not to me anyway). My amazing graphic designer @graphicsbystacy who constantly has to deal with my neurotic undeceive mind and millions of changes for covers and graphics. And @Natashajoanne my PA who works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything that should be done is done!

My beta readers Sam Coleman and Amy Rebecca Thomas You two are literally everything! I love having you guys be the very first people that get to read what I write, mistakes and all!

And of course I would have not have been able to do any of this without the support of the silent investor aka my husband / research partner Not only did he invest in my business before any royalties started to roll in, but he also gets all the mundane shit done around the house that frees up my time to write.

My colleagues Catharina Maura; Debbie Cromack; Debra St James; Bree Porter; Siân Ceinwen; SK Mason; Kat T. Masen; Sheridan Anne who I continually learn from and get unlimited advice and support I freaking love you all I love being a part of this bookish community and know that you all have played a vital role in getting me to where I am today! Thank you for always answering my 1001 random ass questions! There are so many more I should be listing here but I actually have to get back to writing at some point

One of my biggest highlights from 2021, well two actually was being able to feature two of my favourite creators on my covers @blaze and @Joncollins21. You will know them as the Bray Williamson and Dean McKinley from the Merge Series. The support and willingness to help out a brand new author that these two amazing people gave me I will forever be grateful for!

2022 is looking to be another packed full year with lots of new releases, of course we all know the Valentino Empire Trilogy is releasing in the coming months.

I’m also working on publishing The McKinley Ranch Duet in Italian and German, and if I can fit it into the year I’m hoping to Publish the first three of the Merge Series in Italian as well!
