“Lily, you left your dress on the beach. You should put it on.” He places my discarded clothing on the table in front of me.

I look up. My dad is sitting across from me, along with Uncle Zac and Josh. My dad is smirking while rubbing his hands together. “I’ve got a hundred on Lil,” he says.

“My money’s on the new guy,” Uncle Zac counters.

“Lily, sweetheart, I’ll pay you one million if you let me watch as you tear his balls from his body. I’ll even let you feed the pigs,” Josh adds.

“What? I have no idea what any of you are talking about,” I say, holding my head high before turning to Alex. “One million is a lot of money, and he’s good for it. So, I’m most definitely considering this offer. Do you know how far one million dollars will go in aiding the Marine Conservation Society?”

“No, I don’t, but I’m sure you do. Lily, if you want to donate a million dollars to the ocean, I’ll wire the money into your account right now.”

He pulls his phone out and starts tapping away. He’s not actually going to… Oh shit, I know it’s rude, but I can’t help myself. As I hear the ping go off on his phone, I snatch it out of his hand and stare at the screen.

“You didn’t! Why would you do that? Are you nuts? Oh my God, wait. How did you have my bank account details?”

“I didn’t. I had your phone number, which is listed publicly, by the way. Any weirdo can track you down using that.”

“But this is a million dollars, Alex. Take it back.” I return his phone.

“Lily, donate it to your charity. It seems important to you, which means it’s now important to me.”

“Huh, what else is important to you?” I ask him. I don’t know how he does it, but when I talk to him, I get so lost in those dark eyes of his I forget there are other people around.

“Well, you putting your clothes on is pretty high on my list right now,” he says, nodding at the dress on the table.

“Why?” I challenge him.

He raises his eyebrows as he leans in and whispers in my ear, “Because seeing you, seeing all this skin, is making my mouth water. I want to bite it, lick it. Everywhere. I’m hard right now, Lily. Because all I can think about is pulling on these little strings, spreading you on the table, and having dessert. Which is you, by the way. Can you see how that might be an issue for me, considering your family is around?”

My mouth hangs open. He did not just say that. I don’t even know how to respond. My eyes drift downward, and yep, I can see the outline of one impressive member, straining against the material of his pants.
