Good afternoon Honeys!
Can you believe we're only 16 days away from a brand new year? I'm still in awe of how time has flown by this year. I have so much to share with you in this newsletter. I'll begin with the sad news because it'll only get better after that.
My family and I had to say goodbye unexpectedly to our beloved Cocker Spaniel mix Chaz this past Monday, 12/9. He was my fur baby, whom I didn't realize had come to mean so much to me until I didn't hear his nails clicking on the floor as he checked on all his people in all their rooms, until he didn't come to beg for an ice cube as I was getting water from the fridge, until he didn't follow me out onto the deck or fall asleep beside me as I sat at my laptop working. Wasn't he a beautiful boy?
I miss my fur baby so much, but thankfully, I have a lot to do to help ease the pain. And there's always work. So, let me tell you of the opportunities available to you for gift-giving or personal enjoyment this holiday season. Smashwords, where some of my books are sold, is having a 1/2 OFF SALE on ebooks until January 1, 2025. Everything in their inventory is on sale, so whatever your taste in reading, you'll find something for you there. And anything you need for the readers in your family will be there, as well. Click on the link to find my books. You can search the site for other authors, or add "/profile/view/author name" to smashwords.com to find other favorite authors.
Next, my 4th Twelfth Day of Christmas Romance novel is up for three awards---Best Hero of the Year, Best Heroine of the Year, and Author of the Year---and I need your votes to help get me there. I would greatly appreciate your support. Please follow this link to cast your votes for The Surrogate, which is available on Kindle Unlimited. Thank you for voting for my work!
Finally, two more stories to help you enjoy a romantic reader's Christmas. First up, Pat Simmons's Every Day Is Christmas about which one reviewer said "It's tell a friend to tell a friend goodness." Then, have a look at The Christmas Gift by Peyton Banks, a novella for lovers of BWWM romances. Click on the title links to find them.
Now, I'll leave you with a little teaser from The Wonder of You, coming on January 5, 2025. It will be the 5th book in my Twelfth Day of Christmas Romance series. this is a little look inside our MMC Cal's mind.
His thoughts returned to Chantilly. Logan was right … he needed to get his head out of his ass and ask her out. He spent far too much time alone or third-wheeling it with his sister and her husband. There was absolutely no reason why a man of forty-seven should be waffling like a scared teenager over asking a woman out on a date. What the hell was wrong with him? Maybe it was that same cool exterior that screamed ‘talented’ and ‘efficient at her job’ that was intimidating him.
Big, tough sailor like you running scared from a beautiful woman! His inner voice mocked him mercilessly, and if he paid it any heed, it sounded just a little bit like a cross between Maddie and Em. Trust his imagination to supply his little sister and his supervisor as his hecklers!
Until next time, my friends, have a wonderful holiday, whichever you celebrate, and see you in 2025! Blessings!
À bientôt,
KT
