The Holidays Are Upon Us!

Dear Reader,
Can you believe we're already halfway through November? Thanksgiving is knocking on doors in the US and before you know it, it'll be my favorite holiday of the year. They're already playing Christmas carols on the radio, and Hallmark is in its holiday element!
As you may have heard, Amazon will retire Kindle Vella in February 2025. As a result, I published Episode 30 of The Pilot's Wife a few days ago. If you were reading along as I wrote, and want to continue the serial experience, you'll need to let me know so I can send you the episodes as I complete them because I will not be posting any further episodes on Amazon. Click on the title of the story to find your way there. The plan is to publish the complete story in June 2025. If that suits you better, then I'll keep you posted, and offer a few teasers in the newsletters between now and then.
Currently, I'm working on a title for the fifth story in my Twelfth Day of Christmas series. Which of these do you prefer?
1) "Magic Moments"
2) "The Wonder of You"
3) "Firelight and Starglow"
4) "The Candlelight Carol"
To help you decide, here's the very rough working blurb. Please do not share. Thanks! Which of those titles do you think fits best with this?
The loss of a baby girl on the operating table shook 40-year-old Dr. Chantilly “Tilly” Henderson to her core. How does a gifted pediatric surgeon move on from the trauma of a loss she blames herself for?
His work as a trauma nurse in the ED at Windsor Lake Medical Center brings MacAlister "Mac" Battle the greatest joy. He can make a difference in the lives of so many, and it helps to bring meaning to the losses he faced in that last deployment.
Tilly lights up Cal’s world, just like the Christmas lights bejeweling the small city they lived in. He doesn’t know why, and frankly, he doesn’t care. She’s talented, skillful, accomplished, mature, and compassionate. And as if all that isn’t enough, she’s the most beautiful BBW he’s ever seen. But she’s closed off, resistant to every effort he makes to draw her out. Tilly won’t loosen up enough to notice that she’s caught the eye of the rugged bear of an ER nurse. It takes her friend and colleague to open her eyes to what's happening with Mac.
How will Mac get her to thaw enough to give him a chance? Can he help her heal from the wounds she bears? And will Tilly see past her need to protect her heart and let the gentle giant in?
I'd love to hear your thoughts as I work on this next story for you. And here's my inspiration for Mac. I'm a fan! :)
Before I go, I just want to leave you with a recommendation to start your Christmas reading. Of course, I hope you'll read all the books I have published in the Twelfth Day of Christmas series. And here are two others that I'd like to suggest to you.
Love, Lattes, and Holiday Tales and Grumpy Doctor's Holiday Twins, both by new-to-me authors. Click on the titles to find them and check out their descriptions.
For those of you celebrating Thanksgiving at the end of November, many blessings to you and your family. Whether or not Thanksgiving is our thing, all of us have much to be thankful for. Until next time, my friends!
À bientôt,
KT
