I'm So Excited, And I Just Can't Hide It~!

This busy bee is still working hard.
Small personal updates? I'm in a stage of fluctuation at my current job. For those who don't know, I was let go from my lab job back in April and I took a job as a merchandiser for a beverage distributing company in June. The job is very physically demanding, but it has the perks of seeing some different places and getting to rep some pretty amazing brands. (If you're ever in Seattle, I can tell you all the best craft breweries and cider houses!)
I think seasonal depression has sort of set in, and I think I always knew this wasn't a permanent landing place for me. I've been interviewing for a lot of other jobs, but not hearing anything back. It's been very discouraging, but I feel blessed to at least have something to keep me going.
Writing has been a bit of a struggle because of all of it. I'm doing my best, but the words don't flow like they used to. The great news is that Forced to Share has done far better than I ever dreamed! Even with all the hiccups of ACX and Amazon STILL not linking the audiobook to the ebook.
But what am I so excited about?
I think I've come to the realization, at least with this newsletter, that I will always be a proud supporter of ALL queer content... so I'm not going to separate my send on this one.
I ended up sending my ARCs for Our Downfall early and I am so freaking happy that everyone seems to be loving Caleb, Dominic, and Katia so far!
But that's the news!
Never be afraid to ask. It's always been my motto.
Oliver Williams and I had a conversation. He expressed that he really wanted to try his hand at dual or duet narration. After an attempt to drag one of his family members along for the ride (LOL) I asked in a Facebook group and found the absolutely stunning Bea Garnet!
Yes! That means Our Downfall will begin recording in June (because we have to work around the schedules of two narrators). And it should be coming your way in duet!
When everything that can go wrong over the holidays goes wrong.
Austin
Christmas is my favorite time of year. It’s the only time I get to see my family after I moved away for college. I'm looking forward to being home for the holidays, especially since my sister is bringing her new fiancé with her. But when I meet him, it’s the last person I’d expect.

Meeting my fiancé's family was supposed to be the big scary step, but it’s even worse because it’s over the holidays. I didn’t realize she had a twin brother or that he was the guy I dated my freshman year of college. When things go south between me and Leah, I’m not only trapped at their family home for Christmas, but I’m forced to share a room with my ex.
I think I owe Austin an explanation.

It's Christmas day, and all Scarlet's coworkers at Santa's Grotto have run off and left her to clean up.
With all the mess made from excited kids unwrapping presents and adults enjoying free eggnog, there's so much to do. So, she's probably imagining it when the candy canes start talking to her.
But, as she goes deeper into the grotto, their voices get louder, until she's suddenly strung up by tinsel and Daddy and Mommy Cane, as well as a whole hoard of sentient candy canes that start using her.
