I want to shoot a very fast thank you to the kind individual who responded to my last newsletter to remind me that April is not, in fact, over. Therefore, four months of the year have not passed. It just feels like it.

I've been so busy tapping away, but I am excited to announce that The Date Mistake is completely written and on track for it's June 3rd release! It came in at a whopping 70k words making it my longest book yet. It's flirty and fun. There's also more emotion in it than I've packed into a book before. I absolutely adore Trevor and Aaron and I can't wait for everyone to meet them.

As far as what else is going on with me... We are now four days away from my husband's birthday and then my oldest son has his on the 25th. We didn't know what we wanted to do this year, so we're doing exactly what we did last year. We love baseball around here. At least, we like going to baseball games. There's a local minor league team and it's become a fun family tradition to hit up a few games every summer.

Maybe one day I'll write a baseball book? But that's sports romance and I don't know if I'm cut out for that...

MAKE ME CHASE YOU. MAKE ME WORK FOR YOU.

Jack

Rhett and I were supposed to grow old together, but he double broke my heart when he forced me to choose between marrying him and hockey. I had to watch his sever in two as I felt mine breaking apart. Worst day you’ll ever have, lemme tell yah.

I chose hockey and if I’m choosing hockey, I’m doing it all the way and leaving love out of the equation, maybe forever. No point getting involved with someone else just to break both of our hearts.

Slept with my new coach, though. It was on accident, okay? It’s not like I knew he was gonna be my coach when it happened. I do know that if it happens again, my heart will be in jeopardy. I’ve just got to get through the season without falling back into bed with him.

Annoying the ever-loving heck outta him should do the trick, eh?

Mercy

People depend on me. They need me. That’s what my life has been about since I was ten years old. The one time I stepped outside of that was such a colossal failure, I vowed never to do it again.

My sister cursed me. She said that one day I’d pay for my situationship ways by falling so in love with a man that I’d do anything for him.

I hate that she was right.

My heart’s decided Jack’s mine and now that I’ve fallen, I’ll never be the same. I might have to live the rest of my life as half a person.

He’s on my hockey team and I can’t avoid him. I’m drawn to him. Can’t stop thinking about him. What do you do when you know in your heart someone’s yours, but you can’t have them?

This real Canadian adventure features possessive MCs, an age-gap romance, enemies-to-lovers vibes, and the sweetest gay hockey romance you’ll ever read. Oh, and of course, it contains the caretaking dynamic Mock (S. Legend and Canadian) is known best for. It’s a verified member of the Hot Pink Peaches Club.

To heal the body you must first heal the soul.

José

I lost everything. My parents were murdered, my best friend was sent to prison for a drug deal gone wrong, and eventually, my grandmother, who raised me since I was fifteen, died. I have been living life day to day to make a good life away from gangs and violence. As a nurse, I can finally do something meaningful. But I’ve been lonely, too, until the bumbling nurse standing a foot taller than me had me constantly irritated, yet, I found him strangely endearing.

Jonas

Family is everything. Family is life and goodness, and I would do anything to protect them. Including protecting them from me. When I came out as gay at thirteen, it threatened to tear the family apart. Some supported me. Some were disgusted. So, back into the closet I went to maintain the peace. But after eighteen years of absolute loneliness, there is only one man who could finally pull me out to see the light of day. José is a fiery nurse I work with, and I want him. Unfortunately, I keep irritating him too much for him to really notice me.

Can the two men stop dancing around each other and colliding long enough to realize they are the perfect match? Will Jonas’ family finally accept him as he is? And danger lurks too close to home for José. Can he protect those he loves in time?

Caden

Helping my brother was my focus. He got into trouble and I’ve been using my skills in the ring to prevent loan sharks from breaking his kneecaps... or worse.

He’s a good man who makes me want to be better. A man who doesn't lace up his gloves and step into underground rings. But I have one last fight coming. This time the stakes are higher than ever. What I have to do to save my brother could cost me the man I’m falling for.

Noah

I should have walked away and never looked back when I first met the MMA fighter with honey-gold eyes. Yet Caden’s charms are too appealing to ignore. As a social worker it's important for me to keep my nose clean.

And Caden is a red flag in every way.

Still, he’s hot as sin and I can't seem to stay away. I’m taking a risk by opening myself up to him, but I'm convinced beneath that bad boy exterior beats the heart of a good man who is worth the fight.
