MISSION PROGRESS
I'm humming along with The Devil on Klack Mountain. It's a slow process, as I still work full-time. I have a clear outline for what's ahead and I like the direction. The section I just wrote deviated from my outline a bit, which is good. The story is taking its own direction.
I've had to resort to some old school writing tools this past week. Even using pen and paper at one point. I like the rawness of writing that way. It changes the pace of the writing, too.
My repeated mantra, of sorts, is that I care about young people learning to love reading. That's a nice thing to say, but what am I doing to promote that? Well, I had a great talk with a librarian in a rural Ohio town about giving a talk about writing and reading. I love doing these. Especially when young people are present. I'll have more details later, but I would love some ideas on how I can increase the desire to read for young people (and old people).

FIELD NOTES
- I'm up to chapter 27 (I think)
- I have new energy for Ember's Wedding. I had some ideas about how to keep Anuka from stealing the show.
- A Dragons of Dorwine Trilogy is still in the works. As is a Kickstarter for the audio for book 3. I might use BackerKit. Which do you prefer?
April is a crazy month in the Adkins household. We have church responsibilities with Resurrection Sunday coming up, my 2nd son has his gradation art exhibit for his BFA, we have two live book sale events, and I'm going to Arkansas for a few days at the end of the month. It may not seem like much is happening, but the needle is moving.
