MISSION PROGRESS Nolan Keller is a modern techno-thriller set in Appalachia, in the fictitious town of Marrow Creek. I mentioned that writing was rough last week. There was a lot of story tension. Well, this week, Nolan rebelled. I finished 8 sentences all week. I'm beginning to wonder if my own stress levels (not Nolan's) are out of hand. Nothing for it but to pick up this week and hit it again. DORWINE The pretty book printer search go complicated this week. I found a POD printer that can do all the things for a reasonable price, but they only do those cool things in the UK. Shipping ruins the 'reasonable price' thing. I have two LIVE events coming up soon. I mentioned the first last week. GoboCon on March 14th in Catlettsburg, Kentucky. I scored a corner booth for this one. If you are anywhere near the area come out for some Magic the Gathering and visit my booth. The second event is practically in my backyard. Its The Old Washington Festival. April 4th, starting at 10am in Maysville, Kentucky. It's a neat sort of pioneer throwback festival.

- I almost got to operate (ok maybe just watch one being operated) a skid steer this week. You know. Book research.
- I have a date on the wall to be done with Draft 1 of The Devil on Klack Mountain. I'm adjusting my scope and settling in for my shot.
- The Dorwine Trilogy is going to be a thing. We've all seen the pretty books in bookstores. Heck, I can't walk past the book isle in Walmart without picking a stunning book. Gear Feature Knife Work is Dirty Work
Do you carry a blade daily? I have a horrible $14 fold out locking half-serrated blade I carry. It's a tool and would do much good in a defense situation. Good knives are really expensive. I don't have three grand to drop on a mammoth bone handle with thousand folded blade made from an Egyptian comet, but I'm curious. Do any of you carry a fixed blade knife daily?
