MISSION PROGRESS Hello from Nolan Keller update factory. I'm trying to keep these concise. Lots of things are going on, but I'll aim to be brief. Nolan Keller is a modern techno-thriller set in Appalachia, in the fictitious town of Marrow Creek. Many of you read early chapters of The Devil on Klack Mountain on Royal Road. I’m transitioning that story into a full-length novel. This week I spent a couple of days in Amish country in Ohio. I did some shopping, eating, and writing. I finally got the outline in a good headlock. I expect it to tap out any day now. I finsihed a chapter I started over the weekend and wrote another. I even had my resident editor take a pass. These chapters are tight and move really fast. I also worked some on Dorwine, but not much on Book 4. That still needs to cook in my subconscious. More on that below. |

Sit Rep - Outlining is in a very good place. I know the end and most of the middle (the hard part).
- I've added another character, and he is coming together very well. He feels familiar to me so he's easy to write. Oh, he's a real dirtbag, by the way.
- I have a date on the wall to be done with Draft 1 of The Devil on Klack Mountain. I'm adjusting my scope and settling in for my shot.
- The Dorwine Trilogy is going to be a thing. I've been shopping printers for a nice surprise I hope to drop early in the fall of 2026.
I’ll share specific dates when I have them. Until then, I’m keeping this focused on real progress. |

Gear Feature Weapon Lights: Love em or hate em?
Some argue that a light on your weapon shows an advesary exactly where to aim. Others say the sudden intrusion of light is debilitating. I personally rock a little Streamlight on my EDC (Shadow Systems CR920). Note: Any firearm mentions are for lawful, responsible ownership and general discussion only—no training, handling, or tactical advice. |
