I finished The Fourth Option by Jack Carr, and I really enjoyed it.

It has the kind of high-stakes tension my thriller brain loves: pressure, consequences, and enough momentum to keep the pages moving. It even has a dog! If you enjoy modern action thrillers, this one is worth putting on your radar.

Reading books like this always makes me think about Nolan Keller, too—not because I’m trying to copy anyone, but because good thrillers remind me what I love about the genre. Carr is a master of pacing and his descriptions are on point. As a gearhead I love how he writes about equipment.
