Here's an Excerpt of Cleaning Up MacIver Just for You!
Coming April 26, 2023!
Something wasn’t right with the boy. Did he have a physical ailment? If not, Cormac just couldn’t put his finger on what else it could be. But he’d find out after he calmed him.
“Answer my question, boy.”
“W-w-what did you a-ask?” Was the boy aware he petted Cormac’s chest as if he were a wild beast in need of taming?
Probably not.
Cormac should mind that type of treatment but didn’t. Not coming from his mate.
Instead of reiterating what he’d asked, he decided against it. He already had the answer, anyway. “What’s your name, sweetheart?”
“Jarrell Piernos. I clean houses.” Poor Jarrell was scared out of his mind. But why, if he knew they were mates? He must know Cormac wouldn’t hurt him.
“I see that. You’ve done a great job with mine. Thank you, sweetheart.” Cormac used all the charm he had in him. The only reason he’d had as much as he did was because his pain level was so low. It was nonexistent without the smelly green drug.
“Oh.” Did Jarrell melt a little?
Cormac grinned and ran the back of his finger down Jarrell’s cheek. His skin was soft. Cormac bet he’d be soft all over. Just the way Cormac like his bed partners. “Everyone calls me MacIver, but you can call me Cormac.”
“Okay.”
“Are you going to say it?” Cormac wanted to hear what it sounded like coming from Jarrell’s pretty lips.
“Say what?” Was Jarrell watching his mouth? Either Cormac’s fangs scared him, or he wanted a kiss.
“My name.” Oh, yeah. Cormac was sure it was the kiss.
“Cormac MacIver.”
“Just Cormac for you, sweetheart.”
“Cormac.” Jarrell’s breath came out shaky. “What’s going to happen?”
“Nothing we both don’t want.” Cormac leaned in, breathing Jarrell’s scent again. “You’re a brave boy, aren’t you?”
“I-I don’t know. M-maybe not.”
