All the seasons, all at once?

Fall is officially here this weekend, though it's been here mentally for weeks. I've had a busy Friday so far. Fridays are my day off from being Office Administrator at a non-denominational church in Rogersville, MO. For the first time in weeks, I am not leaving home at all today, and that is a glorious feeling. So far today, I've cleaned the house, done two loads of laundry, baked an apple dump cake that smells heavenly, and just sat down to start the Virtual Assistant work I have on my plate this week. I'm helping my great-uncle publish his fourth novel, skimming another author's books for quotes we can pull for promotion, and prepping a month's worth of newsletters for another client. Before that, I wanted to pop in and say hi to you!
This is my favorite time of year, and I can't decide if I like the fall or Christmas season more. If anything, I like both at the same time. Fall decor is up, and Christmas ambiance is playing on the TV. Perhaps that makes me a bit crazy, but I like to think it makes me fun. Let's not mention the fact it was eighty-five degrees outside yesterday.
I'm loosely plotting my next novel in my brain and need to finally get it on paper this weekend. I said I was doing that weeks ago, but didn't actually make it happen. I'm not great at prioritizing things that are important for my own writing career over the needs of others. That's a really hard things for me, so if you are willing, I'd appreciate prayer for that!
Without further ado, lets get on to this week's guest author spotlight. I have two for you this week and they both look like fun reads.
GUEST AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT

For orphaned New York socialite Isabella De Vries, finding a husband has become imperative. After unsuccessfully navigating four Seasons, it’s time to enlist the help of an old family friend to find her a suitable match. She trusts Preston implicitly, but his solution is both unconventional and heartbreaking: he himself will marry Isabella in name alone so that she may be the sole beneficiary of his inheritance when he succumbs to the disease that will soon take his life. His plan solves everyone’s problems: Isabella will be cared for, and his inheritance will be protected from his irresponsible younger brother, Prince.
There is no love left between Prince Baxter and his older brother. When he hears that Preston is going to marry Isabella, Prince knows he will have to charm his way into friendship with Isabella if he wants to see any portion of the inheritance money. His plot, however, quickly crumples to pieces as he and Isabella establish a genuine connection―and he makes the mistake of falling in love with her.
The Bride Price by Cora Leland
An American Historical Romance
Kate Dunkirk was orphaned when her folks steamed down the Mississippi. Were the explosions an act of war? She’d never know. Her parents lay in the army hospital at Fort Marion, Florida. As Kate and her siblings rushed to them on a train, her brother Theo met a cowboy’s gaze.
Sam Pecos knew this family. Especially the woman named ‘Kate.’ When her sister Marianne stepped off the train with Theo, Sam’s lightning-fast reflexes did them a huge favor. After that, Sam could hardly abandon them to the calculating stares at Fort Marion. But when Kate tried to flee from him, the Dunkirks were trapped.
He was needed at his family’s spread in Texas. Kate wired her dad’s bank but she got no reply. Soon, the siblings would be penniless.
Will Kate admit that she met Sam Pecos years before and chose him as her husband? Sam remembers this and has always loved her. But part of him has had enough. Will he leave her in Minnesota and get on with his life?
That's all from me! I'll see you again in October. I hope you have a wonderful Autumnal Equinox, have all the pumpkin spice a person could want, and get to curl up with a book!

But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine."
