April showers bring May flowers

Hi there,

Did you have a nice, long weekend? I hope you did.

And all of a sudden, it is May! Spring season is in full swing!

The saying: "April showers bring May flowers" means that good things come to those who are patient, do the work, and wait.

Example: “Learning English is hard sometimes… but you know, April showers bring May flowers.”

Shower is another word for rain. We use it when the rain is:

• Short
• Often light or moderate
• Starts and stops quickly

Examples:

• We had a quick shower this morning.
• There will be showers later today.

I hope this helps!

Warmly,

Sonia x
