[Follow-up] Update on recent spam emails reported by members
Feb 02, 2026 11:36 am
Dear Members,
Update about the spam email
I wanted to share a brief update on the investigation into the recent spam emails some members have received.
So far, there is no evidence that the spam email itself contained malicious code. It appears to be a common type of message used to test who responds, rather than an immediate threat. Even so, I am continuing to review the accounts that reported the emails to make sure there are no wider issues.
If you have received a similar email, I would appreciate it if you could let us know. Reporting it helps us understand the scope of the issue and respond more effectively. Please do not reply to the email itself.
I am also reviewing the security setup of our website with our supporting vendor to confirm what protections are currently in place and to identify any improvements that may be needed. A call with the vendor is being scheduled to clarify this and take the appropriate next steps.
I have also checked the third-party platforms we use, and, at this stage, there is no public indication that they have been breached. I am confirming that we are using up-to-date versions to continue benefiting from the latest security updates.
At this point, there is no indication of a data breach within APSS. I will continue to monitor the situation and will share further updates as they develop.
Thank you for your support and for raising concerns early.
Yours sincerely,
Eugene Seah
