Hello Mavericks!

On behalf of the entire team at Asia Professional Speakers' Singapore (APSS), thank you for your participation in our signature annual convention: The DARE+ 2024 held from 9th to 11th of May, and the CSP Summit 2024 on 12th of May. We also appreciate your attendance at the past monthly meeting, some workshops and Special Interest Group (SIG) gatherings.

Meeting guests and witnessing many members participating enthusiastically made our events truly fulfilling and memorable. We hope you enjoyed the ambiance, networking opportunities, and culinary offerings.

13th of APRIL: WORKSHOP WEEKEND

Masterclass with Andrew Chow, CSP

Andrew delved deep into AI's transformative potential, covering personal branding, audience engagement, SEO & content optimization, social media strategies and methodologies of interactive learning during the workshop.

24th of APRIL: MONTHLY MEETING + SPEAKERS' IDOL SEMI FINALS

The monthly meeting was super exciting, with the Speakers' Idol 2024 semi-finals stealing the spotlight. Congratulations to the finalists for their outstanding performances, and a huge thank you to the judges, speakers, hosts, guests and members who made the night unforgettable!

The crowned Speakers' Idol semi-finalists, in respective order, Dr. Damini Chawla, Erika Behl and Sharad Lal.

9th of MAY: DARE+ 2024 NETWORKING PARTY

The pre-convention for DARE+ 2024 was a warm-up welcome evening, our overseas guests and speakers connected and vibe with the APSS tribe! Speakers and delegates mingled, setting the stage for an amazing experience ahead.

10th to 11th of MAY: DARE+ 2024

Day 1 featured Eric Feng's Opening Keynote, "From Shadows to the Spotlight," motivating transformation. Miroslav Petrovic emphasized Authentic Self-connection in his speech, followed by a dynamic Interactive Panel Discussion moderated by John Dykes, fostering insightful exchanges among panelists.

Monica Moore delivered a keynote on "Synergy for Success," emphasizing collaborative strategies, and this was followed with the Breakout Sessions and GSF Sharing by Ruby Newell-Legner. The day concluded with Jade Seah's closing keynote, encouraging attendees to embrace change, take risks, and pioneer new paths.

The Day 2 of the convention featured a lively opening with "Improv Games to Elevate your Speaking" led by Prescott Gaylord, followed by Simon Bowen's keynote on "Codify Your Genius", offering strategies to systematize expertise and Eric Sim's insights on growing "From Zero to One Million followers". The Interactive Panel Discussion was moderated by Nadir Zafar.

The day also included Experiential Workshops and Expert Pods, providing attendees with diverse inputs and personalized learning opportunities.

THE SPEAKERS' IDOL FINAL

The finalists gave rockstar performance in delivering their winning piece. Arokya Gupta, along with the esteemed judges, meticulously sifted through each performance, ensuring that every finalist's unique contribution was recognized and celebrated in a lively competition atmosphere.

GALA DINNER AND AWARDS

The GALA NIGHT with the theme BE BOLD: BE FEARLESSLY YOU overflowed with entertainment, delectable cuisine, networking opportunities and dazzling delegates in their elegant attires. It was fun mingling and dancing with everyone, creating lasting memories of a truly splendid evening!

Congratulations to our awardees! Shawn Hoh received the Spirit of Service Award, and Robin Speculand was recognized with the Hall of Fame Award.

Coen Tan received the CSP recognition, and Yohanna Irene was honored with the Outstanding Contribution Award.

12th of May: THE CSP SUMMIT

A big shout out to Benjamin Loh and Wendy Tan for their research and execution of this year's summit, considered the best yet. The half-day deep dive offered valuable insights for quick financial returns, highlighting the benefits of earning the CSP credential through APSS.

29th of MAY: THE COACHING CLUB'S INAUGURAL MEETING

The club collaboratively shared meaningful discussions on their best practices, actual experiences, inquiries and current challenges in the coaching field. Such a dynamic and enriching environment for professional growth and development indeed!

7th of JUNE: SPEAKERS' BREAKFAST CLUB

It was such a lovely morning filled with great conversation and vibrant, inspirational energy from the members of the community, all while enjoying a warm cup of coffee together. Also, guests and three new members attended and immensely enjoyed their first-ever APSS event. ☕

12th of JUNE: AUTHOR'S CORNER INAUGURAL MEETING

The Authors Corner SIG launched on June 12 with higher-than-expected attendance, showcasing community support for writers at all stages. Exciting news.. the club will establish a weekly writing gym - an online resource hub for authors with regular meetings aiming to support each other.

19th of JUNE: 2nd EDITION OF ENTREPRENEUR'S CLUB MEETING

The 2nd edition of the Entrepreneur’s SIG was a huge success, with a full house of attendees all joined together for a mastermind session. Members engaged in constructive discussions, openly sharing their experiences, contacts, and challenges as entrepreneurs.

25th of JUNE: APSS MONTHLY MEETING

June's monthly meeting was a standout with Coen Tan's magnetic storytelling, offering valuable insights on discovering one's unique storyline, crafting unique message, and consistent storytelling. The oversubscribed session following the convention underscores the strong engagement and value created at APSS. We were thrilled to welcome many new members during the event, highlighting the growing community. Kudos to our Exco for curating enriching learning experiences for all!
