Hey , I hope you're having a good day so far

I'm officially one year into my journey in Machine Learning.

When you start learning, besides some fixed path you design yourself, you never know what will be the next thing you'll need.

I recently joined a big company, IPS Intelligence as a Machine Learning engineer, and the first thing I noticed is how much different they work in comparison with how I was used to work.

I realized I was not adapting enough. I realized there's a world before and after model.fit().

There's a thing called MLOps, they're rarely taught in Data Science online courses, unless you specifically look for them. They don't teach how to build an API around your model, how to build pipelines, data wheels, how to fix data shifting and how to deal with real world problems.

So, my advise is don't let your model die in a notebook, you can start with this introductory article:

Some service announcements

  • Make sure not to miss tomorrow's Trivia Night, 6 pm CEST.
  • Moreover, tune in this Sunday for the YOLO #3: You Only Listen Once, the podcast hosted by Max

I really do hope you enjoyed this week's issue.

Talk soon,

Alessandro
