Hey , I hope you're having a good day so far

October marks my first year in the Machine Learning industry, you might have read my 12 Months Into My Data Science Journey. It's really been a journey, and yet there's still a lot to come. It's been few months I founded Artificialis, and I'm also slowly approaching to the idea of mentoring (more on that soon, who knows).

This got me thinking about the Machine Learning engineer role itself, or Data Scientist for that matter.

So I wrote an article you might be interested in reading:

There's also another topic I'd like to propose to you, the dichotomy between consumption and creation. Beginners tend to get stuck in the infamous tutorial hell.

Creation is as important as consumption, if not more.

I'd like to feature one of our latest writer in our Medium publication, who wrote

Get Started with Computer Vision by Building a Digit Recognition Model with Tensorflow

Because, as I mentioned in Why You Should Start a Data Science Blog. There is an insane amount of practitioners in the world, the rivalry is high, but there are certain things which will for sure help you to stand out in the crowd.

Some service announcements

  • Make sure not to miss tomorrow's Trivia Night, 6 pm CEST.
  • Moreover, tune in this Sunday for the YOLO #3: You Only Listen Once, the podcast hosted by Max

I really do hope you enjoyed this week's issue.

Talk soon,

Alessandro
