Our rescue suffered a hard blow last Fall.

On October 6th, we lost one of our founders, Mitchell Lee Dennis, at only 46 years old. Mitchell helped start Arrows Heart Animal Rescue in 2012, and he had the biggest soft spot for the underdogs. Those tougher cases that took extra time, patience, and compassion to place? His favorites.

He saw the "good dog" in every one of them.

A father of four, he could always be found with a smile on his face. He was passionate about our work and wanted every animal to find a home.

In his memory, we want to make that happen for as many animals as possible.

We know you adopted from us this year, and we are so grateful that you opened up your home to one of our animals in need.

Today, our ask of you is to help us continue saving the underdogs, Mitchell's favorites. Every donation we receive helps the dogs and cats in our care get adopted by covering the medical treatments they need to get them back on their paws.

From amputations and skin treatments to basic vaccinations and spay/neuter operations, veterinary care is our largest expense, literally saving lives.
