It's National Home Ownership Month and there are as many reasons to buy or sell a home as there are fish in the sea.

Our team was in Austin last week and we took the opportunity to talk to as many random non-agents as we could.

Almost all the reasons people buy homes were different, but these are the top 5 we heard from folks:

1. Upsizing or downsizing
2. Relocation for work

4. Cheaper than renovating (This one surprised us!)
5. Stop renting
