Asexual Awareness Week

Hello, my darlings! And welcome to all my new subscribers!
This is an unusual second email this month, but it's Asexual Awareness Week and I have a few things I want to share with you for that so I hope you won't mind too much.
Also, I've had a few people ask me recently about doing a sign and ship. If you don't know what that is, in a sign and ship, you would order paperbacks directly from me, I would sign them, and ship them out to you. I haven't done one in a long time, so it's probably past time to set one up! I know lots of authors do these before the holidays—I'm not sure I can get one together before then, but I'm thinking about dates. Reply and let me know if you'd be interested!
Also also, I wanted to say thank you to everyone I met and spoke with at GRL for making my second time there such a great experience. It was a whirlwind few days of panels, Author Lounges, and the big book signing on Saturday. I met so many wonderful readers and authors and enjoyed talking with you all! I didn't take as many pictures as I normally do (if you don't know already, I generally take tons of photos), which I blame on my continuing struggle with post-covid fatigue (ugh), but here's a photo of my table from Saturday's signing.
Asexual Awareness Week
Ace week is an annual event to celebrate asexual-spectrum identities and promote greater understanding and acceptance of them. This year, Ace Week runs from October 22nd to October 28th. In honor of it, I have a link to some book recommendations on my blog, a collection of ace-spectrum books to check out, and some information about my books with ace characters to share with you.
There are more than thirty books with ace spec characters in this collection, including a couple of mine.
My Books with Ace Characters
In To Love the Dragon King, King Lysander has learned of a plot against him and the kingdom and set out to discover the traitors behind it. In doing so, he encounters Sascha, who has unknowingly been used as a pawn by his family in that very same plot. This is the first in the Dragons of Ivria dragon shifter fantasy romance series, but it doesn't end on a cliffhanger. In Dragon King, Sascha is gray ace. If you don't know, gray asexuality is when someone experiences sexual attraction only infrequently or in certain circumstances. Here, Sascha has never experienced sexual attraction before Lysander.
The Merchant's Love is a warm hug in book form. It is the coziest of cozy fantasy romances in which a bookish royal and a merchant who is besotted with him from first sight fall in love over books and baked goods. And there is just a bit of magic gone wrong. It's the sixth book in the Chronicles of Tournai series but can be read as a standalone. In The Merchant's Love, Faelen (the bookish royal) is demisexual, which means he doesn't feel sexual attraction until after an emotional bond has formed.
A Dance of Water and Air and A Harmony of Fire and Earth make up the Elemental Magicae series and should be read in order. In A Dance of Water and Air, Prince Edmund must marry the queen of a neighboring country in an arranged marriage, but when he arrives, he falls in love with her brother, Arden, instead. Then Edmund is accused of trying to kill the queen and he and Arden flee so they can try to unravel the mess affecting both their countries and find a way to be together. Edmund is also demisexual.
I hope you find something wonderful to read in one of these book lists!
Until next time,
Antonia
