Happy New Year!
Jan 08, 2026 12:31 pm
Hello, my darlings,
Happy 2026! Last year was a tough year, a bad year for so many, and this year... Well, it's not starting off great in many ways. But I'm still going to hope and work for better for us all. And so I wish you a year full of joy and peace and good books and good people.
The holidays were busy (so much cooking and baking and family time and the inevitable crash after), but I've jumped back into edits of To Know a Dragon Spy, the second Dragons of Ivria book. They're going well, though I've had to tear some of this book apart. Which I anticipated, though it doesn't make it any easier! I'm working steadily, and I'm hoping (and keeping all my fingers crossed) that I can get this book into your hands next month. No firm release date yet—I'm too scared to miss it—but I'll keep you posted.
Lots of other stuff brewing in the background that I'll let you know about when I can. Next month is the New Jersey Romance Writers writing challenge month, and I'm looking forward to using it to get a good start on my next project if all goes well. For now, my focus is getting this book out.
The usual things are all below, including lots of book recs and an upcoming event.

To Love the Dragon King
Once upon a time, before the hunts, dragons were plentiful in the world. Now they exist only in legend…except in the land of Ivria.
Featured Backlist Book of the Month
A prince. A commoner. A love they can't deny and won't give up.
Currently Reading
A question I ask far too often: Why have I waited so long to read this book? It's the second book in the Echo Archives series and is absolutely delightful so far, a blend of romance, fantasy, and mystery with unique world building and a wonderful narrative voice.
Monthly Book Rec
So, I absolutely have to recommend the first book in the series, which was one of my favorite reads of 2025 and is very appropriate for this time of year since it's set at a New Year's (or year turning in the book) party.
