Smashwords Sale!

Hello, my darlings,
I have to start by saying thank you to everyone who has bought/borrowed/read/reviewed To Know a Dragon Spy. I know this book has been a long time coming, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one frustrated or impatient! I'm incredibly grateful to you all, and I hope you're all loving Felix and Alan's story as much as I do. If you haven't grabbed your copy yet, you can find it at the link below. And if you have read it, please consider leaving a review wherever you purchased it—reviews help indie authors so much.
Now that it's July (which I can't believe—June absolutely disappeared in book release preparations!), it's time for the big Smashwords Summer/Winter sale. My books (except To Know a Dragon Spy) are 50% off there for the whole month. Lots of other books are on sale too, so you can stock up on summer reading! The link to my books at Smashwords is below as well.
As for a writing update: Now that To Know a Dragon Spy is out in the world, I'm diving into my next projects. For a bit of a change, I'm working on the first book in a witch romance series that I'm very excited about. I'm planning it (as much as I plan any of my writing!) to be four books long, centering on a family of witches in New England, and hoping to bring you lots of cozy and witchy vibes along with the romance. I haven't written anything set in the (mostly) real world in years, so this is interesting for me. I also have the third Dragons of Ivria to work on. Book 3 is Thalia and Galina's story—they have a sorcerer to catch and some loose ends to tie up, and I'm sure they'll get into some other mischief along the way that will mean more threads dangling but that's okay because Dragons of Ivria is also planned to be four books long. Book 4 will be Romilly's (I'm not sharing their love interest right now because *spoilers*), and I'll clear everything up that needs to be by the end of that book. And that's as far as I've planned at the moment!
All the usual things are below, including lots of book recs linked on the blog.

To Know a Dragon Spy
Once upon a time, before the hunts, dragons were plentiful in the world. Now they exist only in legend…except in the land of Ivria. Felix is a prince, cousin of the current king, ward of the old one. Knowing he would never sit on the throne, he set himself to become something else-the king's best spy. Aside from a trusted few, people know him as a frivolous, flirtatious prince. They don't see the keen mind behind the charming smile or the love of family and quiet behind the silks and jewels. They certainly don't know he is the eyes and ears of the king. Felix still blames himself for not discovering the plot against Ivria and its king at its beginning, and he's determined to find the remaining members of the conspiracy. If the commander of the King's Guard will get out of his way. |
Alan is commander of the King's Guard, a role he set himself on the path toward when he was very young. He takes his duty seriously, so seriously there is little room for anything else in his life-not the pastimes he used to enjoy or family or even love. Especially now with the heightened danger to the royal family. He crushed his attraction to the beautiful Prince Felix long ago, but when he finds out Felix is more than he appears, Alan immediately becomes suspicious. Is Felix working for the king or against him? Alan won't let himself be fooled by a pretty face that hides so much, no matter how he used to feel.
But the real danger is closer than Felix or Alan realizes, and they're going to have to get over their animosity for each other-and deal with the desire that sparks when they do-if they're going to survive it.
