Can you believe on the 26th October it was two years since the release of Forever Yours? My first book baby. (scroll down for giveaway)

I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever get to publish a book, let alone go on to write ten more. When I first started writing, I didn't tell anyone, not even my husband. I had no confidence in my writing and did it purely for my own pleasure more than anyone else's. My first story was a stepbrother romance which will probably never see the light of day haha.

The last two years haven't been easy. Only me would start their romance writing career with a book that contains cheating. Had I known the negativity and drama this would have caused, maybe I would have done things differently, but regardless this book will always have a special place in my heart.

I will never forget the amazing support I received with this book. After being told by several people that nobody will ever want to read a story about cheating or a plus size, forty-year-old woman who struggles to lose weight, I was ready to forget the whole thing and bin the manuscript. I'd spent the best part of a year writing this and re-writing and shed many tears.

Some even said this isn't the type of fat representation people want to read. And that only confident plus size characters should be written about, but that wasn't me. These types of comments—that I still hear today—are triggering for me, making me feel like there's something wrong with me because I don't always feel confident in my own skin. But there's nothing wrong with that and there's nothing wrong with a character who learns to love her body after years of no confidence. That is my story. Steph is basically me (although I never cheated haha) But her struggles with weight and confidence is what's real to me. And I felt while she probably made some bad choices, she was relatable none the less. And her story with her weight (my story) deserved to be told.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who believed in me and this book. I wanted to write a story about two normal people who were just both struggling through life and that's what this is. So after all the tears and critics, I'm still here and this book is still being read today, despite having a rocky start.

Now I have to stop typing about this as I'm getting emotional.

Monthly Update

Where did October go? I feel like I blinked and it's gone, but what I have managed this month is to finalise my Twisted Santa story. Advanced Reader Copies went out Friday and I've already had a few reviews. If you were on my ARC team and didn't receive your copy, just get in touch.

I've also commissioned some art for this book. It's something I've wanted for a long time and after five books this year. Yes FIVE books. This is a little Christmas treat. Mary Livas @Searland_art has done an amazing job at bringing Nick and Joy to life and I can't wait to show you the finished piece.

New kink unlocked. Elf kink anyone? Here's a little snippet of what to expect from Nick...

Fifteen minutes later, bells tinkle outside my office. I look over my computer as Joy jingles through the door in full elf attire. My jaw drops. The green boots curl over at her toes with bells hanging from the ends. Striped candy cane tights cling to her thick thighs and disappear under a green dress. In my mind, my hand’s already up there, stroking the spot where her legs meet.

She digs a fist into her wide hip. “I look ridiculous.” Her head bobs, jingling the bell at the end of her hat, and I imagine what she would look like wearing nipple tassels with bells on, jingling up and down on my dick.

“You look like…” I want to say Santa’s good little girl, but I bite my tongue, then my fist. “You look adora-bell.” I’d taken little interest in the costumes before. Even the ears look real. I want to stand and walk over to her for a better look, but the jingling woke my cock up. There’s no way I can stand now with a raging hard-on.

She huffs, tapping her green jingling boot against the old carpet. “I can’t go on the shop floor like this, Nick.”

“Come on, where’s that elf-confidence?”

She rolls her eyes. “How long do I have to cover Molly for?”

“I’m not sure. We’ll just play it by ear.” My grin widens, but she isn’t laughing. I didn’t think my little star could look sexier, but damn, she looks hot when she’s mad. Is it wrong to want to kiss the wrinkles from her nose?

I haven't had many reviews on this book compared with Protecting Poppy. This time last week, I actually thought that some of my ARC readers had decided to skip this one due to the darker themes or the taboo nature of this story, which is fine as I know it's not for everyone. Turns out, people are just busy or poorly and haven't got around to it yet. So when I saw this post, I was thrilled.
