Greetings dear Chroniclers,

August is always a bittersweet month for me. The freedom of summer and daily walks with my youngest (an adult now and she works nights) gives way to her college classes starting and seeing less of her. I'm excited to see what she thinks of her first semester of just art classes.

This summer I documented a magical medicine that has been around in the Liminal Chronicles Universe since book 1. How had I missed such a vital part of the lore? Well, that oversight's been remedied.

Juujikan Bruise and Arthritis Balm is a secret recipe from the Ohno clan's book of Herbalism, Potions, and Magical Healing. (Juujikan translates to 10 hours, by the way. It takes that long to make the salve.) You'll see this balm popup multiple times in the Liminal Chronicles series and it allows one of my favorite characters to shine in the first book. ;)
