Press and Media Kits 101 for Authors Class is Now Available

I've joined the No Stress Writing Academy run by my fellow authors Deleyna Marr and Ossandra White. I finally put the finishing touches on the press/media kits class and I am so excited to share it! (I've taught a fair number of craft classes and done World Anvil tutorials. So I'm not new to teaching. Just expanding what I teach.)

How did this class come about? I remember struggling to put together my first media kits. What all was I supposed to put in them? How could I organize the information and make it easy to read? After putting together kits and advising author friends on theirs, I decided to put all the information together so you can quickly pick up what you need and put your professional looking kit out there for book tours, interviews, your street team, and more.

What You Get:

• Examples, lots of them!
• A list of what to put in your kits, plus a list of “nice to haves” for online book tours and indie book releases
• Step by step instructions with images to guide you through the process
• 3 templates on different platforms (World Anvil, Notion, and Carrd) that you can just “fill-in-the-blank”
• Access to the class forum where you can ask questions and show off your completed press kit

Shouldn't this be a legally recognized holiday?

One of the places hubs and I will be stopping at in Japan this November will be the fox village south of Sendai. I can't wait! (Yes, it's a tourist trap. But I can't pass it up. Even hubs said we had to go! Lol!) I'll share pictures. Promise!

The Eyes of Mandoral: Backerkit

One of my author friends is running a Backerkit campaign, which got funded in the first hour. She's an award winning author. I love her work and am looking forward to the audiobooks! (I heard her read the first chapter of The Poet's Eye for the first stretch goal, and I was hooked!)

Obligatory Ferret and Fishy Updates

Mochi checks out my phone as I take pictures of her. Can you tell how grey the bottom half of this sweet little gal is getting? But she's really spry for a senior citizen!

SHRIMP UPDATE: The baby shrimp population now outnumbers the adults. I've seen 19 babies, some from a second set. (They're smaller. And cute because they're about 1/2 cm long.)
