Hello ,
We haven’t sent out an "Author Only" email in a while so we’re embarking on a series of quarterly (or so) emails to keep you up to date on what's going on and how you can best use AlzAuthors as a platform to promote yourself and your resource. We’ve got news and lots of ideas. If you have your own ideas please let us know.

Cruise With Us!
This is the biggest news! For years, we’ve been dreaming of getting together on a CRUISE! Lately, the dream has become more insistent, and a link to a friend who’s a travel agent makes it a little more possible. What would be better than getting the management team on a cruise? Having our authors join us! That’s right! You are invited to come along. This would be a social event, and spouses, friends, and family are included. On Sea Days, we’d host marketing and promotion workshops. And there’d be plenty of opportunities to hang out together on board, at dinner, during excursions, and at entertainment and events. If this intrigues you, please complete our survey. If you’re not interested, you can also complete the survey. We want to get a feel for the interest in this endeavor before we proceed. All aboard!!

Help Wanted: Authors to Write Short Caregiver Tip Sheets
Attracting readers and caregivers to the AlzAuthors platform is challenging, as is motivating them to join our mailing list. The more readers we reach the more we can share all of the beautiful books and other resources in our collection. You can help while also promoting yourself and your resource. We're looking for authors to write short tip sheets on a variety of caregiving topics. These will be advertised on our social media and website. Readers and caregivers will receive them free of charge when they subscribe to our weekly newsletter. The more people reading our newsletter, the more people will discover your work.
Potential topics:
- What to do when you suspect dementia or cognitive impairment
- Building a care team
- Finding care in your community
- Managing difficult behaviors
- The Legal Lowdown
- Activities for people with dementia

Our 6-Word Memoir Project is Still On
We are still collecting stories for our Six-Word Memoir Project.
Here are a few examples of submitted stories:
What I wish I knew about Alzheimer's or dementia that I didn't find out until later:
- Caregiving would reveal my best parts.
- The doctors didn't have many answers.
- Have patience. Every day is different.
- Share your experiences to help others.
Here’s how to share your six word story:
1. Go to: https://app.sixwordmemoirs.com/dashboard where you’ll be prompted to login with a name/password/email. It's free.
2. Then go to Join Topics and use these codes:
- b9xeuc4g: What I wish I knew about Alzheimer's or dementia that I didn't find out until later
- a8tt44di: In six words, what’s one takeaway from my personal journey caring for a loved one with dementia?
- cdbu8g7k: How I rose to the challenges of caring for my loved one with dementia
3. Share one or as many six-word stories as you like!
We can't wait to read your stories! All stories will be collected into a book to share with the world, offering hope to those currently on a dementia journey.
