Hello ,
Holidays and family stressing you out? You're not alone! Many people find the holidays nerve-wracking due to tensions, old resentments, and drama from family members. In this podcast - a replay of our most recent Virtual Q&A - you'll meet four of our authors who experienced difficult relationships on their caregiving journeys, and another who will offer advice on how to overcome these difficulties.
We wish you the happiest, healthiest holiday season.

Our Latest Author
Eilon Caspi, Ph.D. has devoted his life to understanding dementia and those who live with it, especially those in long-term care. He started working in the aging field in 1994 as a nurse aide in a nursing home, where his grandfather lived, in Israel. Since then, he has worked as a social worker, consultant, applied researcher, educator, author, documentary film director, and elder care advocate. His research focuses on the prevention of abuse, neglect, resident-to-resident incidents, financial exploitation, and theft of opioid pain medications in long-term care homes. His passion is bridging research and care practice. This is an important book for those working in long-term care and those who have entrusted their loved one to a care home.

Caregiver Writing Workshop for 2023
Here's a writing workshop for caregivers from Annette J. Wick, author of I'll Have Some of Yours and Pauletta Hansel, author of Palindrome, poems about her mother's journey through dementia. Annette and Pauletta lead online creative writing experiences designed to help family caregivers, past or present, explore the gifts and challenges of their lives through poetry, storytelling, and journaling. In this workshop, participants write to reflect on their own journey, and to share as much or as little writing in a supportive and safe circle of other caregivers. No previous writing experience is necessary. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants prior to class date. Four sessions throughout 2023. Free.
